Role summary:

Are you a developer ready to move from a development lab, see the world and meet with customers in a fast-paced environment where you directly help NCR customers transform their businesses to the next generation of financial systems? In this role, you will partner with the Account Executives, Architects and Software Sales teams in planning and prioritizing opportunities for utmost productivity and efficiency. This role will also engage with Professional Services to coordinate a seamless transition at the right time and with the right resources.

We are looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer who will in partnerships with Sales teams focus on developing best technology solutions to meet business needs of clients who provide financial services. In this role, the primary function would be to work with NCR customers to implement proof of technology and proof of concept solutions.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Work in partnership with sales and account managers to help customers determine the best technology solutions to meet their business needs in the areas

  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm

  • Participate in answer to RFI/RFQ/RFP together with the Key Account Sales manager

  • Participate in conferences, shows, exhibitions when appropriate and requested

  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers met and unmet needs, and recommends optimum solutions, ensuring appropriate support for the proposed architecture

  • Provides coaching and professional development to company’s members

  • Supporting other global presales engineers

  • Monitors R&D/ customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure. (customer follow up)

  • Provides training to customers when needed

  • If required, acts as a Project Manager for each deal to ensure the final solution is delivered towards customer’s expectation and initial proposals

  • Follows and shares market technological needs and evolution with Product Line Managers.

  • Provides coaching and professional development to team member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with database management software (Oracle, MSSQL or similar)

  • Experience with Web technologies (Java, JavaScript, CSS, AngularJS, HTML)

  • 1 years of experience in pre-sales/customer - facing/technical roles.

  • 3 years of experience in Banking & Financial Services.

  • Previous customer-facing experience selling software and services.

  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.

  • Fluent in English

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (IT department on Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Mathematics, Faculty of Organizational Sciences)

  • Experience with financial software related to transaction processing, transaction acquiring devices management and/or monitoring, cash management, fraud monitoring

  • Self-motivated & self-driven motivated passion for the industry and products

    Responsibilities include:

  • Installation and configuration of NCR software components in to customer environments.

  • Develop high quality software proof of concept assets which meets requirements, promotes re-use of software components, driving sales of NCR software products and services.

  • Provide input and technical content for technical documentation, user help materials and customer training.

  • Assist others in estimating task effort and dependencies, responsible for team commitments within the POT/POC environments

  • May be asked to lead and advise other engineering and professional services resources as part of project activities.

  • Participates with industry groups, stays current with technology and industry trends, disseminates knowledge to team members, forms best practices.

  • Communicate with solution management and other internal teams, both presales and engineering. Participates in cross-functional collaboration within the NCR organization.
