The Role: *
The Professional Services Manager is a frontline management role with three primary responsibilities: services delivery, personnel management, and revenue generation.
More specifically, the Professional Services Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of consulting services as well as the coordination of activities and information between key engagement stakeholders.
The Professional Services Manager is also responsible for building out our best-in-class professional services team, which would include participation in staffing decisions, performance reviews, and career development activities.
Finally, this role is responsible for growing revenue in assigned accounts, primarily through effective account and engagement management and expert advisory.
Your Focus: *
Lead and manage all aspects of the service engagements with the customers, including solution definition and architecture, scope of work and all aspects of service delivery, including contract definition and negotiation
Manages the work of the engagement teams under their direction (e.g. direct, matrix, or subcontractor/partner) to ensure optimal resource utilization and engagement execution
Ensures successful delivery of consulting services, particularly through effective engagement, customer management and team oversight
Manage a professional services P&L meeting objectives and key results, including utilization, revenue and margins on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
Ensures that all assigned team-members have a solid understanding of client business objectives and the plans in place to attain those objectives
Participates in staffing decisions and employee development activities to ensure a balanced team with the right set of skills
Grows revenue and improves profitability through the effective management and expansion of the existing account(s) and the transformation of the business from traditional solutions to more strategic offerings.
Required Knowledge: *
Bachelors or equivalent degree in a business, technical, or related field. Combination of technical bachelors and MBA preferred.
Changepoint-PSA knowledge is a plus.
Required Experience and Skills: *
Prior experience in the payments industry ( PSD2, Instant payments, tokenization…), and management/strategic consulting experience, minimum 5 years
Experience in customer facing engagements, ideally in the financial sector, minimum 5 years
Experience managing partners, minimum 3 years.
Demonstrated ability to manage technical teams associated with enterprise software sales and related professional services (minimum 15 people)
Proved P&L management experience (minimum $2m USD)
Strong Communication and Negotiation skills
Expect 20% or more travel
