POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:



The Logistics Analyst II supports the day to day operational processes within a Distribution Center (DC). The DC may be either internal to NCR or externally operated by a 3PL. Responsibilities include assistance and resolution of inbound, outbound, inventory controls and all related activities associated with the warehousing of service parts. The job will consist of hands on support, issue resolution, data analysis and root cause resolution of warehouse shop floor activities. This role will assist, audit, control and support activities to ensure efficiency of processes, quality of output and quick problem resolution. Some more detailed activities are listed, but not limited below:

  • Resolves logistic and suppliers' issues or exceptions
  • Resolves order issues
  • Minimizes company expense, transport costs, inventory levels, etc, while ensuring customer requirements are met
  • Initiates and/or supports continuous improvement initiatives
  • Shares / integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge Applies professional judgment in interpreting data and results
  • Creates tools and reports providing high levels of operational control and visibility
  • Ensures compliance with import and export regulations; implements process improvements as necessary
  • Acts as a single point of contact with providers and local teams
  • Represents NCR in local meetings with 3PLs
  • Audits / reviews 3PL activities to ensure NCR interests are met

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed Intermediate Vocational Education in logistics, international business or economics
  • A Minimum of 10 years experience in a Warehouse & Distribution environment and reversed logistics
  • Industry and/or product knowledge
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP)
  • Working knowledge of and experience with MS Office PC Applications (Excel, Word, Power point)
  • Fluent in English (both oral and in writing)
  • Excellent team working / interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple issues and/or priorities simultaneously
  • No “nine to five” mentality. Work needs to get done
  • Knowledge of 5-S, Lean principles
  • Good communication skills
  • Good Problem Solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum 10 years’ experience in logistics, international business or economics
  • Experience in Spare Parts management
  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience in a 3PL environment
  • Prior Management Experience
  • Six Sigma Yellow or Green belt
  • Ability to influence, convince and motivate others
