NCR Local Office is looking for a person to join our team of Outside Sales Executives and be in charge of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Area. This is NOT an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with previous Restaurant/Hospitality Management experience. Secondly, someone with strong knowledge and experience with the Aloha POS System - both Front-of-House and Back-of-House is preferred.

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for selling the Hospitality solution portfolio within an assigned territory

  • Selling solutions and services to secure new opportunities maximizing revenue and profitability and increasing NCR's market share

  • Targeting accounts in local geographic area, typically at ownership level, in the small to medium-sized business market

  • Responsible for prospecting, managing and bringing to closure new business opportunities within targeted area including: Table Service accounts, Quick Service accounts, and other relevant hospitality industries in a territory

  • Conducts surveys with prospective customers to identify needs and match those needs with Aloha POS and/or other NCR/Aloha products and services

  • As a member of the sales team, objectives are focused and performance is measured on the ability to close new business

  • Executes the sales process by moving new opportunities successfully through the funnel

  • Accountable for building relationships with prospective and competitive customers

  • Articulates solutions in terms of ROI to the client

  • Serves as key interface in defining customer needs and NCR's ability to meet those needs through solutions

  • Serves as the liaison between the customer and NCR in regard to issues for new customer escalating any roadblocks to securing the business

  • Submits complete and accurate order entry information to Sales Management and Operations Team when orders are obtained

  • Responsible for proposing and closing deals in the assigned territory

  • Maintains accurate customer contact information in company CRM system

  • Develops and maintains relationships with networking groups, hospitality industry associations, and personal contacts. Maintains follow up and ongoing relationship with existing customer base


  • Bachelor Degree is preferred

  • At least 3-4 years of previous Management experience – Hospitality, Restaurant, food service industry, or a related technology field strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of the Aloha POS System is a plus

  • Knowledge of Spanish language is a plus

  • Position requires strong prospecting skills, ability to build customer relationships through consultative selling and promoting customer confidence in NCR

  • Business Acumen - Must have some form of restaurant experience, preferably in management. Demonstrates knowledge of restaurant business and operations

  • Communication Skills - Speaks and writes clearly and informatively; Demonstrates group presentation skills

  • Customer Service – Successfully Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs and requests for service or assistance

  • Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful and professional manner; Reacts well under pressure; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments

  • Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time

    The employee must have an environment that is conducive to periodically work from home. The employee must already have a high-speed internet connection. NCR will provide laptop computer and reimburse all reasonable business expenses.
