The Opportunity As a/Point-of-Sale Payments Engineer/you will work closely with our client product scrum teams & maintenance engineering teams to create, validate, publish and support the payment terminal packages required to drive the pin pads. You will perform these activities leveraging the 3rdparty payment terminal provider tools as well as tools built in-house. The objective being a fully functional terminal, successfully connecting to our payments clients, powering secure transactions through our Connected Payments gateway. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * Collect data from the available resources, perform initial investigation, and analyze information to determine root cause. * Work directly with product & solutions management to determine download package requirements for desired functionality and/or resolving functional issues. * Work with customers to assist with device/POS/middleware integration. * Provide regular updates to clients as per the Run Book. * Communicate issue resolution with clients upon completion of trouble ticket. * Research and responds to client inquiries * Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Work on issues reported after hours. * Expertise in all phases of systems analysis, software development process and/or functional engineering principles. * Continue to work on existing tickets as per the Support Policies and Procedures Guide. * Prepare and maintain various forms of documentation to build knowledgebase and track performance.

Required Skills and Experience: * 5-8 years of experience in software 5 years supporting clients on a technical help desk, preferably on payment processing applications. * Proficient in Windows family Operating Systems, Linux commands and Operating Systems. * Proficient in setting up test environments using Collis and ICC EMV testing tools * Proficient in setting up test environments with simulators and one or more of the required payment terminal provider (3rdparty tools) * Proficient in maintaining Support documentation and Customer Information Repository (CIR) * Knowledge EMV Payment transaction flow, CTLS EMV and US Quick Chip. * Knowledge of payment device applications, utilities, APIs and SDK * Effective communication and organizational skills Problem solving and analytical skills * Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task * Experience with network management, POS terminal, POS peripheral & EFT terminal setup * Understanding of retail grocery, PCR and/or Hospitality business processes and analysis
