KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Key responsibility of this role is to ensure the planning function which allows the plant to meet its delivery commitments to NCR's customers, while maintaining the required focus on Revenue Recognition and Inventory Management

  • Focus is required to achieve World Class performance in the key areas of Material Management, such as Flexibility of Response, Inventory Control, Cost, Quality and Warehouse Management

  • Ensure the organization structures, processes and planning support activities are in place to achieve all planned goals for Materials Management

  • Scope and define the structure, vision and mission for the Materials Management department; Select, develop and motivate people by coaching and encouraging teamwork to achieve set goals

  • Identify the knowledge and skill requirements within the Materials Management department to support the plant objectives

  • Develop processes which will support the operational objectives in achieving the plant's goals

  • Drive for Closed Loop Corrective Action on all defective stock issues

  • Maintain Sarbanes Oxley accreditation and ISO9000 accreditation

  • Use metrics to measure, analyze and improve overall departmental performance

  • Maintains 5S standards throughout all work areas

  • Maintain efficient labor and materials controls

  • Sets and ensures quality standards

  • Forecasts demand and leads inventory management

  • Manages key global programs or projects which are key to the organization

  • Applies advanced principles and contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas which resolve SLM quality engineering issues

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline

  • 10-12 years of related experience including leadership of others

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

  • ERP / ORACLE system knowledge

  • 3PL management of receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations

  • Track record of applying recognized continuous improvement standards
