NCR's Industry Analyst Relations Manager's main role is to develop and implement an effective analyst relations program. He/She should have a strong background in market research, communications, data analysis, and competitive positioning.
This role requires the ability to work on multiple fast paced projects at the same time, strong analytical skills, and experience evaluating qualitative and quantitative research in the IT or related industries.
This candidate must enjoy growing and nurturing relationships and influencing analysts on NCR competitive strengths and differentiators.
Key Responsilbities: * Develop, manage and execute a targeted Analyst Relations plan for NCR's businesses
Educate the most influential industry analysts who work with existing or prospective NCR customers.
Embed with the business units to improve analyst perceptions and relationships year-over-year.
Work with portfolio marketing to secure positive analysts reports, and deliver quality information to analysts
Influence analyst research on NCR, its competitors and the markets that NCR competes in; shape the perception of NCR and the value it brings to its customers; own NCR's participation in competitive evaluations (MQs, Waves etc.) and work to improve NCR's standing in influential reports.
Work with analyst firms to complete research reports and whitepapers
Establish processes for ongoing communication and education of industry analysts
Facilitate analyst briefings and interviews during specific events
Secure analyst quotes for press releases
Prepare analyst briefing tours, presentations, and documents
Respond to analyst inquiries, monitoring briefings, ensuring that deliverables are provided and suggesting research topics
Manage and procure paid strategic research projects on behalf of NCR to ensure that key analyst firms are actively engaged with NCR offerings.
Develop and monitor an analyst report calendar for coverage potential
Monitor the competitive landscape and strategic developments across NCR's market focus areas
Share relevant analyst research and implications with senior management to shape BU strategy and offerings.
Connect key NCR marketing and industry leadership teams with expert analysts for advisory sessions to help define and influence offering strategy.
Collaborate with colleagues in marketing, sales, solutions, and BU leadership to ensure that NCR is getting the best representation with the analyst community.
Develop a keen understanding of how to build credible and impactful relationships with key influencers and leading industry analysts.
Oversee budget, analysis and recommendations for purchased analyst research services
Bachelor's Degree - Communications or Marketing Preferred
2 years experience in analyst relations, IT Marketing, or PR in the technology or software industries (preferable B2B)
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in matrixed organizations
Process-oriented and driven to achieve strategic goals
Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize effectively
Masters Degree- Communications, Marketing or Business
Corporate marketing or market insights/business intelligence experience (a plus)
