  • Position required to develop innovative self-checkout kiosk designs, applying engineering skills & methodologies to meet the requirements of the design; Apply valid tests, recognized testing and debugging principles to establish that the design meets the requirements; Apply knowledge and experience to develop designs that are functionally complete in a timely manner.

  • Required to learn the product and device development processes identifying and recording any process improvements; Required to evaluate products and devices per recognized standards and procedures for both internal and competitor product\device comparisons.

  • Assist with the development of designs from concept through to production.

  • Drive and support cost reduction efforts; Resolve customer issues on current production products; Support manufacturing build to resolve any technical issues.

  • Responsible for new technology/component investigation/tracking.

  • Assist with developing and writing test specifications; Assist with updating functional specifications; Assist with the testing of a product\device or test process based on detailed design documents; Assist with updating existing designs for external customer or internal customer initiated improvements.

  • Executes assembly/test procedures; Assists with development and testing of a module or assembly/test process based on detailed design documents; Tests and releases a small fix, process change or corrective action to improve quality, yield or manufacturing cycle time; Updates and writes specifications or assembly/test procedures.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar)

  • 2-5 years of related experience

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Skilled with usage of electrical diagnostic equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.)


  • Designing for EMC/ESD certification requirements

  • Familiar with currency handling devices (notes, coins)

  • Experience defining system architecture (cabling, e-boxes, modules, I/O hubs)

  • Experience with Cadence EDA for electric systems design
